[Her smile fades some at the mention of Sean. She hadn’t known him very well either, but he seemed sweet. Placing it carefully back in the drawer she pulls out the DVD player and carefully climbs over him in order to settle down next to him.]
[ He meant to ask if she'd eaten when she brought in his second bowl, but then she found the drawing and it slipped his fevered mind. Now he doesn't think to ask and merely eats as he watches the opening scene. ]
Is this one of those ones where you need to wait for the action?
[ Not that he's complaining, just trying to figure it out. ]
I just finished The Outsiders. Now I'm reading The Odyssey. It's a little confusing. There are a lot of characters mentioned and it took me awhile to figure out some were gods.
[ Without having the context of the Greek gods already, it puzzled him for a bit. ]
I did. At first I was unsure, but by the end I felt it had been a good story to learn.
[ It was about lives very different to his own, but there were still some themes running through that he could understand. Continuing with his soup, he tries focusing on the movie, but he knows he's missing things since his brain definitely feels foggy. ]
[ Being careful to not knock over his tray, he leans over to open the nightstand and retrieve the book for her. ]
Such a long name.
[ He shakes his head, sure he'll forget what it is. This man has no context as to the state of the same name so it just sounds like a strange name to him. ]
[ Then again, it's not like he can be productive right now either. He gives a shrug and works on finishing his soup. ]
I don't know. It seemed that way. Maybe I was just thinking of home. Most of the names there are only one or two syllables. Or maybe my head is just stuffy and I'm thinking of things that don't matter.
[Daisy points out, knowing if their roles were reversed she would be just as stubborn.]
See? This is why you should be sleeping.
[Once he’s finished his soup she sets the DVD player down where he can still see it and moves the tray and everything off to the side for now. She’ll bring it out when she next leaves the room. Climbing back into the bed, she offers to hold him if he starts looking sleepy. Otherwise she’s content to just lay here and watch the movie with him, occasionally playing with his hair or trailing her fingertips up and down his arm.]
[ He’s pretty close to pouting over being treated like an helpless child but he’s also too sick to really protest either. And really, it’s better to have someone looking out for him than to endure this alone. ]
All right.
[ Propping his pillow up against the wall, he settles in to watch the movie and whatever happens he’ll go with it. Sure enough, within minutes he’s slouching down towards her shoulder as he falls asleep. Strange dreams afflict him, like one about his sister standing at the foot of the bed and another where he’s Indiana Jones trying to cross a snake filled pit to rescue Daisy from a trap on the other side. When his foot slips on the edge and he falls into the pit he startles awake. ]
[Daisy attempts to start the book when he nods off, but only gets a few pages in before she's distracted by the movie. That and also just how hot she's getting with Joric laying against her.
She's just started another movie when he jerks awake and she jumps as well before relaxing.]

Who drew this?

[ It's a lot to say and it's punctuated with a cough before he clears his throat and starts eating. ]

Have you ever seen Indiana Jones before?
no subject
[ He gives a shrug, not sure it was sweet of him or not. ]
I have not. What is it about?
no subject
An archaeologist who has the chance the change history.
no subject
What is an archaeologist?
[ He hopes it's not necessary to his understanding of the movie. Sounds complicated. Such a long word. ]
no subject
It’s someone who studies history through artifacts from the past.
[She moves the screen so it’s facing him a bit more.]
Can you see it okay?
no subject
[ He supposes there's a lot of guesswork since artifacts can't talk. ]
It's good just like that.
[ His eyes feel a bit hot from his illness but he'd rather watch this than stare at the wall or keep his eyes closed. ]

[She raises the volume on the player before resting her head back against the wall.
She should’ve grabbed a snack for herself, but she’s only just now thinking about that and there’s no way she’s getting up again.]

Is this one of those ones where you need to wait for the action?
[ Not that he's complaining, just trying to figure it out. ]
no subject
It’s only just started, but yes, it does take a bit for the action to start.
no subject
[ He eats more soup before adding: ]
I'm used to stories from home that get to the action sooner. But I've been reading and watching all sorts of different things here.

[She likes that he enjoys reading so much.]

[Daisy says, impressed by how he just keeps going onto the next book after finishing the previous one.]
Did you like it?

What is his name again?
[ Nodding towards Harrison Ford. ]

[She’s not much of a reader, but she gets the feeling she’ll be spending a lot of down time with him the next couple of days.]
That’s the main character, Indiana Jones.

I'll get started when you take your nap.
[Which she wouldn't be surprised if he fell asleep soon.]
Is it?
no subject
[ Then again, it's not like he can be productive right now either. He gives a shrug and works on finishing his soup. ]
I don't know. It seemed that way. Maybe I was just thinking of home. Most of the names there are only one or two syllables. Or maybe my head is just stuffy and I'm thinking of things that don't matter.
[ He'll honestly try focusing on the movie now. ]

I fell.

She's just started another movie when he jerks awake and she jumps as well before relaxing.]
You okay?
no subject
[ Wait. ]
I mean... I was dreaming I fell.
[ He sits up straight and grabs a tissue to blow his nose. ]
Is this the same movie?
no subject
No, I switched over to something else. You've been sleeping for a few hours now.
[She reaches up to push his hair off of his face.]
