Well that's good. Being confident, I mean.
[ He doesn't mind the leisurely pace, occasionally admiring the scenery though by now he's finally used to it and it has that artificial feel. ]
Perhaps you could make something for someone else. Most people would accept a gift, even if it's not very good. They will see you tried.
